Nestled in the heart of London’s vibrant West End, The Londoner Hotel stands as a beacon of luxury and sophistication in Leicester Square.
This boutique urban resort, opened in 2021, has quickly become a go-to destination for both discerning travelers and locals seeking a taste of refined hospitality.
The Londoner’s prime location is undoubtedly one of its strongest assets. Situated just steps away from Leicester Square, it offers unparalleled access to London’s theater district, Covent Garden and Piccadilly Circus—all within walking distance.
The property is an ideal base for exploring the city’s iconic landmarks, shopping destinations and culinary hotspots, which is exactly what I did during a recent London getaway with my teen daughter.
Modern Luxury
Upon entering The Londoner, guests are immediately struck by the bold, contemporary design. The hotel’s aesthetic seamlessly blends modern luxury with subtle nods to British heritage.
The lobby features sleek furnishings and sets the tone for a sophisticated stay. Guest registration and concierge services are tucked to the side while visitors are wowed by an impressive and bustling bar area as well as sitting spaces ideal for gathering before you head off to a night out or a trip to one of the many West End shows at your fingertips.

A Peaceful Sleep
The Londoner boasts 350 rooms and suites spread across 16 floors. Each accommodation is thoughtfully designed with a focus on comfort and functionality.
The rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, offering stunning views of the London skyline or the bustling streets below. High-quality linens, plush mattresses and a pillow menu ensure a restful night’s sleep. The bathrooms are spacious and well-appointed, with rainfall showers, soaking tubs and luxury toiletries.

Our room was a corner suite, and despite the bustling square below, the accommodations were silent and spacious with plenty of room to spread out and relax, often a luxury in such a bustling metropolis.
Top-Notch Gastronomy
The Londoner truly shines in its culinary offerings. With six concept eateries and bars, there’s something to satisfy every palate.
A standout among The Londoner’s dining venues is Whitcomb’s, the hotel’s signature French Mediterranean restaurant. Located on the ground floor, Whitcomb’s exudes a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere with its elegant decor and warm lighting.

The chef showcases a delightful fusion of French culinary techniques and Mediterranean flavors. Diners can indulge in specialties such as escargot, filet mignon and a variety of seafood. The restaurant’s wine list is equally noteworthy, featuring an extensive collection of both Old and New World wines. I can attest that the escargot is top notch and my daughter enjoyed a handcrafted mocktail.
While we enjoyed a delicious meal at Whitcomb’s, The Stage champagne bar was our favorite hangout. Throngs of people packed the bar on Saturday night, and it was buzzing once again with patrons enjoying tea on Sunday afternoon.
Relax and Unwind
The Retreat is The Londoner’s subterranean wellness space and a hidden gem. Spanning the lower two floors, it features a state-of-the-art gym, an indoor pool, a sauna, a steam room and a range of treatment rooms offering signature spa services. The tranquil atmosphere provides a welcome respite from the bustling city above. The pool area, in particular, is a popular spot to unwind after a hectic day in London, whether you are visiting for business or pleasure.
Attentive Service
The staff at The Londoner delivers goes the extra mile for guests. From the concierge team’s knowledgeable recommendations to the housekeeping staff’s attention to detail, the level of care is evident throughout.
The concierge arranged theater tickets for us and was extremely helpful in securing the best seats for Phantom of the Opera without breaking the bank the same day of the performance.
If you are looking for a hip, high-end stay in London, The Londoner Hotel delivers as a top-tier luxury destination in one of London’s most exciting neighborhoods. Its blend of sophisticated design, excellent dining options, comprehensive wellness facilities, and prime location make it a standout choice for those seeking a memorable stay in the heart of the West End.
