Cunard’s Queen Victoria ship will be hosting the critically acclaimed Cuban ballet company, Acosta Danza, onboard during a special six-week residency from May 26 through July 7, 2025, bringing the beauty of ballet to the high seas.
Acosta Danza, which was founded by the renowned ballerina Carlos Acosta, will perform two exclusive shows onboard for guests, which will be announced later. They will also hold workshops and panels in the ship’s Royal Court Theatre for fans, while the biographical film Yuli: The Carlos Acosta Story, will be available to watch onboard as well.
Guests will be able to enjoy sailing to destinations like Rome, Valletta, Cephalonia, Dubrovnik and Barcelona during the 14-night Italy and Adriatic sailing, while also getting to experience Acosta Danza’s combination of traditional and contemporary ballet styles, with an influence from Cuba’s rich musical and dance culture.
The itinerary begins in Civitavecchia, from which guests can visit Rome, and ends in Barcelona. It begins at $1,809 per person.
“Bringing Acosta Danza to Queen Victoria next year is an exciting new chapter for our company,” said Carlos Acosta. “We’re so excited to showcase our passion for Cuban culture and contemporary ballet with Cunard’s guests. Our all-new productions during this residency will be a unique blend of precision and flair, where we shall aim to defy expectation with every step on stage.”
