Windstar Cruises Announces New Partnership with The Latin Recording Academy

Windstar Cruises will be the presenting sponsor of The Latin Recording Academy and its 2024 and 2025 Special Awards Presentations during Latin GRAMMY Week.

The cruise line announced the new partnership with The Latin Recording Academy in early October, which is part of National Hispanic Heritage Month.

The Special Awards Presentation, which takes place on November 10, honors artists who have made a lasting impact on Latin music.

The Lifetime Achievement Award and the Trustees Award, which are both voted on by the The Latin Recording Academy’s Board of Trustees, will be presented during the event.

The Latin Recording Academy mission is to improve the quality of life and the cultural condition for Latin music and its makers. The Latin Recording Academy® is an international nonprofit dedicated to nurturing, celebrating, honoring, and elevating Latin music and its creators. Established as the global authority on Latin music, the membership-based organization composed of music professionals produces the annual Latin GRAMMY Awards®, The Biggest Night in Latin Music®, which honors excellence in the recording arts and sciences, in addition to providing educational and outreach programs for the music community through its Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation®.

“With our newer headquarters in Miami, as well as a talented workforce that includes many Latino professionals in the cruise industry, we felt Windstar could take a more proactive approach to support Latin music and these musical legends from the Latin Recording Academy” says Janet Bava, chief commercial officer for Windstar Cruises.

“We are choosing to support creators and artists who pioneered the path for success of future artists, and much like many of our seasoned cruisers at Windstar, they’ve left an indelible mark on their respective fields,” Bava said.
