Humble & Hungry: Delta named No. 1 for Business Travelers for 14th consecutive year
Nov 18, 2024
For the 14th year in a row, Business Travel News, the leading global source of business travel information and intelligence, has named Delta Business the top carrier for business travelers — an unprecedented run for the airline as it enters its centennial year.
“This is another record win, but we are never satisfied with the status quo. We keep climbing,” said Steve Sear, E.V.P., Global Sales and Distribution. “Our approach has always been to listen to feedback from our corporate and travel agency partners, act quickly, and listen again to continue to improve for them. But we remain on top because we have the right – and most importantly, resilient – teams in place to get the job done. We are 100,000 employees strong working towards one common purpose – providing a safe, reliable, and holistic travel experience for every single one of our customers.”
The annual Business Travel News survey asks corporate travel professionals to rank airlines on a variety of attributes, including network—including partnerships and frequencies—customer service and communication, distribution, products and services.
“This survey is our report card for how we are meeting our customers’ needs in the areas they value most, and we are both humbled, hungry and honored to see they appreciate what we are doing,” said Bob Somers, S.V.P., Global Sales. “We’ve seen airlines pull back their commitment to corporate travel and then change their minds – because they realized how critical business and managed travel is for their organization and the industry.
“I’m proud of our people and that Delta has been steadfast in our commitment since day one. We haven’t waivered, and our trust and transparency with our partners continues to be a differentiating factor.”
Delta is honored to be business travelers’ full-service carrier, relentlessly focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience while continuing to invest in making that experience possible, including:
Customer-focused upgrades in the airport:
Investing more than $12B in airports to streamline the travel journey from curb to claim, including debuting dedicated Delta One Check-Ins and Lounges in JFK and LAX, and adding more than 2,700 seats to the Sky Club network.
Top-tier in-flight experience:
Expanding fast, free Wi-Fi, which is now available on most domestic mainline flights and investing in the industry-leading Delta Sync seatback product, providing a more personalized experience.
Leading the industry with 165,000+ seatback screens – most of any U.S.-based carrier.
For the first time in a decade, unveiling a brand new cabin design for narrowbody and widebody fleets. It will premier first on narrowbody 757s, followed by Delta’s centennial widebody A350 in 2025.
Delta is consistently recognized for excellence in customer experience, operational performance, and workplace culture. In 2024, Delta was named Best Airline North America and Best Airline Staff by Skytrax World Airline Survey, J. D. Power’s Best for First/Business, Premium Economy Satisfaction and top airline staff, one of Fortune’s Most Innovative Companies, and much more.
