A year-round horror experience is coming to Las Vegas, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal – Universal’s Horror Unleashed.
Universal has set a launch date for ‘Universal’s Horror Unleashed’ – planning to open its doors on August 14, 2025, in a 20-acre expansion of Area15 in Las Vegas.
AREA15 is Las Vegas’ experiential entertainment district offering live events, immersive activations, monumental art installations, extraordinary design elements, unique retail, bars and eateries, and much more.
AREA15 is a wondrous mash-up of experiences and an immersive playground, all rolled up into one vibrant space.
Is AREA15 suitable for all ages?
Yes, AREA15 is open to all ages with the exception of Friday & Saturday Nights, where visitors must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license or ID to enter after 8PM.
Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of visit.
We’re for the disruptors, tastemakers, influencers, and agents of change. And, pretty much anyone who likes cool stuff. Some experiences may have height and/or weight requirements, and guests must be 21 or older to consume alcohol.
The Horror Unleashed attraction at Area15 will feature four haunted houses each offering a unique and fully immersive horror experience comprised of Universal Monsters, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Scarecrow: The Reaping and Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer.
“Universal Horror Unleashed” comes from the team behind Halloween Horror Nights. It will mark the company’s first-ever year-round horror experience. According to developers, the attraction will also feature areas with spooky eateries and bars with live entertainment experiences.
“Universal’s rich history in the creation of the horror genre drove our desire to bring a year-round horror experience to the incredible entertainment offerings in Las Vegas,” said Page Thompson, president of New Ventures for UDX said in a past statement.
She added, “We’re thrilled to have our award winning Creative and Entertainment teams working tirelessly to bring these terrors to life in 2025.”
