Abercrombie & Kent’s (A&K) recent expansion is highlighted by the acquisition of destination management partner Borealis DMC and partnership with Crystal Cruises.
The Copenhagen-based company boasts expertise in one-of-a-kind offerings in Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Norway and Sweden.
The acquisition expands the company’s portfolio of destination management companies (DMCs) “with an international network of more than 3,000 staff, in over 65 offices and 40 countries,” said A&K.
“The Nordic region provides access to experiences that epitomize adventure and luxury in their purest forms,” said Rebecca Osman, chief destination officer at A&K Travel Group.
With regard to Abercrombie & Kent’s recent expansion, “[t]his acquisition aligns perfectly with our commitment to unlocking impossible possibilities for both our discerning travelers and our trade partners,” she added. “The Nordic region has become a guest favorite amongst luxury travelers seeking authentic wilderness experiences.”
Borealis DMC’s “deep-rooted connections with indigenous communities and unmatched access to remote locations complement A&K’s philosophy of revealing destinations through local expertise and cultural authenticity,” said A&K.

The news comes on the heels of a new A&K partnership with sister brand Crystal Cruises.

Crystal Cruises to Offer New Abercrombie & Kent Land Experiences
Crystal Cruises is teaming up with sister brand Abercrombie & Kent to launch new, immersive land offerings.
The program, called By Abercrombie & Kent, includes curated land-based experiences designed to immerse guests in culture, nature and history.
“We’re redefining what a luxury cruise experience can be,” says Cristina Levis, chief executive officer of A&K Travel Group. “By Abercrombie & Kent isn’t just any excursion program—it’s a complete reimagining of how our guests discover the world, combining Crystal’s exceptional onboard hospitality with A&K’s unparalleled destination expertise.”
Bookings are now open for cruises on Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony through 2026.
Guests can enjoy overland adventures by A&K, which are multi-day adventures that allow guests to disembark mid-voyage and rejoin at subsequent ports. Once they leave the ship, travelers will visit iconic sites like the Great Wall of China, Taj Mahal, Uluru, Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.
Also available are pre- and post-cruise extensions by A&K, which range from archaeological explorations to cultural and wildlife adventures. For instance, travelers can explore the temples of Angkor Wat, embark on indigenous cultural experiences in Whistler or track lions on safari in Kenya’s Maasai Mara.
The experiences take advantage of A&K’s international network of over 3,000 staff in more than 65 offices and 40 countries. A&K’s expert local teams will manage all of the logistics, from private charter flights to accommodations. The adventures are available as small group tours or solo experiences.
