Four Seasons is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year, marking the event with new experiences, like the opening of the Danieli, A Four Seasons Hotel, Venice this summer and the launch of Four Seasons Yachts.
The brand was founded in 1961 by Isadore Sharp, with one hotel in Toronto. Today, it operates 135 hotels and resorts and 61 residences across 47 countries. It’s privately owned by majority shareholder Cascade Investment, L.L.C., Kingdom Holding Company and Four Seasons Founder and Chairman Sharp, through Triple Holdings Limited.
“This milestone year marks both a proud legacy and a clear path forward,” says Alejandro Reynal, President and Chief Executive Officer, Four Seasons. “Our strength comes from staying true to our values – service excellence and genuine care – while growing intentionally and innovating with purpose. That balance is what will continue to guide Four Seasons for decades to come.”
This year, Four Seasons will be expanding with new experiences and properties worldwide.
In the Americas, the brand is looking forward to the reopening of the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara following a renovation, as well as the opening of the new Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena, located within two colonial and Beaux-Arts landmarks.
In Europe, the brand will celebrate the opening of Danieli, A Four Seasons Hotel, Venice, located within three former Venetian palaces, along with the Four Seasons Hotel Mykonos, the company’s second resort within Greece. Further north is The Park Gstaad, A Four Seasons Hotel, opening within the Swiss Alps in time for the winter season.
Four Seasons will open three properties within the Middle East: Four Seasons Resort and Residences Red Sea at Shura Island, Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay and Four Seasons Hotel Madinah.
In the Asia Pacific region, Four Seasons will celebrate the opening of its first hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam: the Four Seasons Hotel Hanoi at Hoan Kiem Lake.
The company boasts 60 other exciting projects currently in development, with a return to Berlin and Brazil, among others.

Four Seasons Yachts will debut with the launching of the Four Seasons I later this year. The yacht-style cruise experience will provide luxury voyages across beautiful destinations in the Mediterranean, Adriatic and Caribbean, all with the brand’s signature style and approach to service.
Lastly but not least, The Four Seasons Private Jet Experiences continue to expand and offer travelers new itineraries and destinations to visit, complete with stays at Four Seasons hotels and resorts, unique experiences from safaris to private tours of iconic monuments, all connected by a luxury private jet.
