Club Med is moving with breathtaking speed to expand its Exclusive Collection of luxury properties, which include fully dedicated resorts and upscale spaces within resorts. The all-inclusive company currently counts 21 Exclusive Collection entities in its portfolio, comprised of resorts, one-of-a-kind public areas, villas and chalets and a French sailing yacht. And more are on the way.
Exclusive Collection Benefits
“As pioneers of the all-inclusive concept in 1950, we’ve continually evolved with market demands,” said Carolyne Doyon, president and CEO of Club Med’s North American and Caribbean division. “Unlike a standard Club Med resort, the Exclusive Collection stands out with luxurious accommodations and exceptional hospitality in the best and most exotic destinations across the globe.”
“Whether it’s a fully dedicated Exclusive Collection resort like Club Med Michès Playa Esmeralda in the Dominican Republic or an exclusive space within a larger resort like Jade at Club Med Cancún, the experience is always distinct,” Doyon added. “Guests enjoy refined dining, elegant lounges and personalized services, including in-room breakfast, private transfers and daily evening champagne.”
Current and New Exclusive Collections
The five stand-alone Club Med Exclusive Collection properties are: Club Med Michès Playa Esmeralda in the Dominican Republic, Club Med Cefalú in Sicily, Club Med Seychelles, Club Med Val d’Isère in the French Alps and Club Med Albion in Mauritius
Two new Club Med Exclusive Collection resorts set to open soon are:
Club Med Gramado in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, known for its dramatic canyons, gastronomy, wine and lively local culture. The climate is warm in the summer and snowy in the winter. The property is scheduled to open in 2025.
Club Med Musandam, a beach resort in Oman, is set to debut in 2028 as the company’s first property in the Gulf States. Situated on the Arabian Peninsula overlooking the Persian Gulf and panoramic Hajar Mountains, Musandam has earned the nickname “The Norway of Arabia,” for having the world’s only desert fjords.
Also, Club Med Kiroro Peak in Hokkaido, Japan, will become an Exclusive Collection resort in December 2024.
New premium resorts with Exclusive Collection Spaces include Club Med Borneo, which is set to open next year, and Club Med South Africa Beach & Safari, scheduled to debut in 2026.
Club Med Québec Charlevoix
While many may think of Club Med properties as beach resorts, the brand also features an extensive collection of luxurious ski resorts.
“At our mountain resort, Club Med Québec Charlevoix, guests staying in the Exclusive Collection space have access to a private ski room, dedicated concierge and a premium lounge with private hot tubs and breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence River,” Doyon said.
“The Exclusive Collection caters to the growing demand for luxury travel, offering a carefree interpretation of luxury centered around simplicity, shared moments and the unique charm of each destination.
“We know our guests are seeking premium services, spaces and experiences, and our Exclusive Collection portfolio allows us to deliver on those expectations while still maintaining the playful, carefree spirit that Club Med is known for.”
Catering to Luxury Guests
That means Club Med is catering to your luxury clientele, including those bringing along young ones for the vacation.
“The Exclusive Collection is tailored to those desiring personalized, luxurious touches throughout their vacation, with an emphasis on personalized service and upscale accommodations in some of the world’s most stunning destinations,” Doyon said.
“Often, these clients are seasoned travelers in search of unique, high-end experiences where every detail is customized to their preferences. They value the added privacy that comes with the Exclusive Collection – such as at Michès Playa Esmeralda, where guests can enjoy breakfast by their private, oceanfront plunge pool.”
“Travel advisors are central to our growth, and their expertise helps us connect with the right travelers – whether they are families, couples or adventurers seeking either luxury or all-inclusive experiences.”

Investing in its Advisor Partners
Travel advisors are key to Club Med, which offers a generous number of tools and programs to help determine whether their clients are best suited for the company’s traditional resorts or Exclusive Collection options.
“Travel advisors are a crucial part of our sales strategy,” Club Med’s Carolyne Doyon said. “At Club Med, we recognize the vital role they play in guiding guests through the vacation planning process. That’s why we’ve made significant investments to ensure travel advisors have the tools and knowledge they need to serve our mutual clients effectively.
“To support this, we offer Club Med University, an educational platform offering in-depth training on our nearly 70 resorts worldwide.”
Upon completing the program, advisors are certified as Club Med Travel Advisor Specialists and receive access to an array of resources, including a new, streamlined booking engine that simplifies the process and enables them to find the ideal vacation options for their clients.
“Additionally, we’ve introduced loyalty programs and exclusive incentives specifically designed for travel advisors,” Doyon said. “These efforts are part of our broader strategy to build lasting, mutually beneficial partnerships with the travel advisor community, ensuring they have the support needed to promote and book our resorts with confidence.”
“Travel advisors are central to our growth, and their expertise helps us connect with the right travelers – whether they are families, couples or adventurers seeking either luxury or all-inclusive experiences,” Doyon added.
