MSC Cruises is bringing new Texas-inspired culinary flavors to MSC Seascape when it begins sailing from Galveston later this year.
The vessel will offer seven-night sailings from Galveston every Sunday starting November 9. Onboard the ship, guests will enjoy expanded food and beverage offerings that highlight Southern, Texas, and Gulf Coast flavors, featuring Texas-style prime rib and Cajun-spiced pork loin, as well as buttermilk pie and spicy margaritas.
Two onboard tasting experiences in the Wine Cellar—the MSC Bourbon & Bacon Experience and the MSC Macallan Experience—will also allow guests to explore classic American spirits.
“As we welcome even more guests from Texas and the South on cruises from Galveston, we’re leaning into the region’s uniquely American cuisine,” says Josef Jungwirth, vice president of food and beverage operations for MSC Cruises U.S. “Our team has traveled the state to gather inspiration for what guests will find onboard. We have paired that with some of MSC Cruises’ most popular offerings from Europe and around the world to deliver the perfect mix of European style and American comfort.”
Some of the new dishes and beverages on MSC Seascape’s Texas-Inspired culinary offerings include:
- Huevos rancheros with refried beans
- Chicken & waffles with maple hot sauce drizzle
- Tex-Max taco and barbacoa options at the omelet station
- Texas-style prime rib
- BBQ baked beans
- Various sauces
