Aurora Expeditions is expanding beyond the polar regions.
In 2026, the company will sail to Southeast Asia, the Mediterranean, the Atlantic Coast and the British Isles. Travelers will also have an opportunity to witness the August 2026 total solar eclipse from Greenland during the line’s “Jewels of the Arctic” sailing.
In total, Aurora Expeditions will offer 42 departures during its “2026 Arctic and Beyond” season, including new expedition voyages to Indonesia and Borneo and long-time favorites to Costa Rica and Scotland. Travelers who book early can save up to 25 percent off cruise fares.
Aurora Expeditions, which recently became a certified B Corp, will also offer 10 dedicated solo cabins on every sailing across its fleet of three small ships in 2026. Travelers will not have to pay a single supplement.
“Our 2026 Arctic and Beyond season heralds an exciting evolution for Aurora Expeditions. We have grown from our core offering of polar and remote area expeditions to a greater diversity of destinations, climates and exploration styles to allow our passengers to experience more,” says Michael Heath, chief executive officer of Aurora Expeditions.
The line will soon welcome a new ship, the Douglas Mawson, to its fleet. The 154-guest ship is scheduled to debut in December 2025 and will offer new East Antarctica itineraries.
“With us soon to welcome the Douglas Mawson to our fleet of small ships, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to diversify and innovate our offering for both our loyal passengers who have joined us in the past, as well as those yet to discover the Aurora difference,” says Heath.
