RIU Hotels & Resorts has reached a new milestone in its global expansion with the grand opening of the RIU Plaza Toronto hotel, the brand’s first property in Canada. The newly built, four-star hotel brings RIU’s signature urban style and hospitality to the heart of Toronto’s iconic skyline.
Located at 30 Widmer Street in the vibrant Entertainment District, the RIU Plaza Toronto offers travelers an ideal base for both business and leisure. Just steps away are some of the city’s most renowned attractions — including the Princess of Wales Theatre, David Pecaut Square, Rogers Centre Stadium, and the iconic CN Tower, while excellent transport links connect guests effortlessly to the rest of the city.
The hotel occupies 23 floors of one of two newly constructed twin skyscrapers, each rising 49 stories high. Its striking façade combines historic charm and modern sophistication: a brick-clad base that harmonizes with Toronto’s heritage buildings and a sleek glass tower that adds a bold, contemporary touch to the skyline.
Inside, guests are welcomed into a bright and stylish lobby and lobby bar, perfect for relaxing with drinks or snacks throughout the day. On the second floor, a modern restaurant serves the signature RIU Plaza full buffet breakfast, included with every stay.
