December 8, 2024Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH), the independent collection of luxury boutiques around the world, is celebrating its collection of 600 members, with 80 new additions in 2024 and seven completely new openings expected for 2025.
SLH, which celebrates its 35th year next year, will offer seven new properties to enjoy, from Italy to the Galapagos.
The Plein Hotel, designed by German designer Philip Plein, will open in Milan, Italy in January, offering a 13-room hotel with nightlife and upscale culinary offerings. In February, The Goethe Hotel will open in Rome, inspired by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s “Italian Journey,” and will be located just steps from the city’s Trevi Fountain.
Further north, Park Lane Copenhagen will debut in January, offering the city a stylish 69-room boutique hotel with an all-white palette in a great location. Barrington’s Hotel & Residences will open in April in Almancil, Portugal, where the 31-room 5-star hotel offers some of the region’s best golf and beach experiences.
The Laguna Coast Resort will provide travelers heading to Naxos, Greece in May with an eco-retreat, as part of SLH’s Considerate Collection. The Levantine Hill Hotel will open in June 2025 in the Yarra Valley in Australia, located on the property of Levantine Hill Estate.
Additionally, the luxury Hermes Galapagos Mega Catamaran launches in April, 22025, offering space for up to 20 people across 12 suites, all with private balconies and jacuzzis.

Small Luxury Hotels of the World and Hilton announced their partnership in July; heading into 2025, SLH hotels and resorts are now available to book on Hilton’s channels, and those with Hilton Honors loyalty memberships can also earn and redeem points with SLH hotel stays.
